Soot Segmentation

Advanced instance segmentation models that segment soot from PIV measurements' data

Soot formation during combustion is an adversible phenomena that has to be avoided in order to reduce the pollution from combustion systems. The systems of soot formation during combustion with turbulent multiphase flows are complex and would require extensive research to understand. Understanding their evolution over time and with different domain parameters would help us to design cost efficient and clean combustion systems. Using advanced LASER-based measurement techniques, we try to capture the evolution of soot during sooting flames. These experimental data is then analysed effectively using state-of-the-art AI models with minimal effort in training them.
